The religious phenomenon is no longer an individual affair. We live in a changing world, driven by the constant search for the Almighty, capable of helping the man to face the challenges of the present time. In this context, several new churches mushroom, different mystico-esoteric sects invade the society.
In addition, development which worries religious fundamentalisms does not let anyone be indifferent. The events of September 11th, 2001, in the United States, are a clear example. The clergy is one of the big factors influencing political and socioeconomic life of different communities. A society which is eager to reach sustainable development cannot ignore the role of beliefs in the process of evolution of mentalities.
This state of affairs observed has called upon Churches which are founder members of the IPSHB to equip their respective communities in particular and the Rwandan society in general, with qualified managerial staff, capable of understanding current changes in the field of religion and beliefs so that they can play a key role in achieving sustainable development of our society.
