Scholarship Applications to Study Peace-Building at PIASS

1.International Students
We are pleased to announce the availability of scholarships for 6 competent international African students who would like to pursue *the 3-year Honors Bachelor’s degree in Peace-Building and Development from October 2018* at our Huye campus (See the program description attached). The purpose of the scholarship program is to provide young people from different African
countries, especially but not limited to those in the Great Lakes Region, with high quality training in peace-building and development, thereby fostering a network of “peace-builders” across national boundaries.

 
Successful applicants will receive *the full amount of tuition fees and medical insurance expenses for 3 years**.* Travel and living expenses required for studying in Huye must be covered by the student or his/her own sponsor rather than PIASS.

2. Rwandan Students

We are pleased to announce availability of scholarships for 10 well-motivated and competent Rwandan students who would like to start pursuing the 3-year Honors Bachelor’s degree in Peace-Building and Development from October 2018 at our Huye campus (See the program description attached). Currently, students from Rwanda, Burundi, the DR Congo, Tanzania and South Sudan are studying in this Bachelor’s degree program whose main aim is to foster a regional network of “peace-builders” across national boundaries.

Successful applicants will receive 50% of the tuition fees and annual registrations fees (RWF 172,500/year) for 3 years. The remaining costs of studying at PIASS including the reaming tuition fees and registration fees, the fees for internship and dissertation supervision (RWF150,00 for the final year only) and  accommodation and living expenses at our Huye campus must be covered by the student or his/her own sponsor(s).

 

Application requirements are indicated in the letter attached and the deadline is August 25, 2018.
